# Count positions

> Query how many open positions the account has.

## What this operation does

Requires active verification. The count may change between this query and reading the pages. The response preserves the MT5 structure.

## Complete workflow

See [the step-by-step guide](/accounts) and [errors and their handling](/errors).

Playground values are examples. Replace the account, symbol, volume, and price with valid data for your integration.
